Intro to Creativity & Problem Solving
Why is it so important in children's education?
Did you know that -
Creating things with our hands lights up areas of our brain that other parts of our bodies just can’t? It floods our body with dopamine when we do, and makes us happier in general.
Undertaking creative activities exercises our fine motor skills, problem solving and spatial reasoning.
Creativity is the thread that runs throughout education and learning - it pulls all other areas together - maths, engineering, science, langauage, writing, physical activity etc., etc!
Learning to creatively play builds the dexterity to go on and hold a pencil and write, discover the notion of ‘inside’ and ‘outside’, and understand the world better.
Discover more about these points alongside further reasons why creativity is a crucial step in your children’s learning and development in this short video below.
